Hardware Development Engineer


We are looking for a full time Hardware Development Engineer to support our engineering team at Metris Headquarters (Leuven), reporting to the manager Hardware Engineering. This team is responsible for the development and improvement of our world class scanners and optical CMM product range.

Development responsibilities:

-          System concept design
-          Optical design
-          Mechanical design
-          Test documentation and follow-up
-          Production documentation and follow-up
 
Project management responsibilities :
 
-          Deliver projects on time and within budget
-          Communicate with other teams :
o        software team
o        research team
o        electronics designer
o        CAD designer
-          Get suppliers to deliver correctly and in time
 
Profile
 
-          Master degree or equivalent by experience
-          Experience in development of optical systems
-          Strong interest in metrology and optical measurement systems
-          Good verbal / written communication skills in both Dutch and English
-          Team player
-          Experience using Matlab and SolidWorks is an asset
